NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb standout Logan Paynter was named to the College Soccer News All-America Third Team, announced by the publication earlier this month.
Paynter led the Bisons this season with 10 goals and 23 points to earn the first CSN All-American recognition in program history.
The Bradenton, Florida product put together another spectacular season at the forefront of the Bisons offense and picked up All-ASUN First Team honors for the fourth straight campaign. He also became just the second Lipscomb player to ever earn three United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors after landing on the second team earlier this month.
On the way to becoming the program’s all-time leader in career goals (36) and total points (84), Paynter cemented himself as the only player in ASUN Conference history to be named the league’s Player of the Year, Scholar Athlete of the Year and Tournament MVP in the same season.
Paynter recorded a point in 10 matches and buried two game-winners in helping Lipscomb to an ASUN regular season title, an ASUN Tournament championship and a Sweet Sixteen run in the NCAA Tournament.
Paynter was the only ASUN member recognized on the 33-person All-America teams.
