Lipscomb’s men’s tennis team went two for three on the weekend, finishing with a 4-3 victory over Dayton on Sunday. For the third day in a row the Bisons won the doubles point. That point would prove to be crucial at the end of the day.
A day after picking up a win over Wright State, the Lipscomb men's tennis team tried to keep its momentum rolling by grabbing the point in doubles play to get things started, but was unable to hold off Xavier in singles action on Saturday.
The Lipscomb men’s tennis team picked up its first win of the season with a 5-2 victory over Wright State on Friday in Dayton, Ohio. Rob Mitchell was undefeated Friday grabbing a win in both singles and doubles play.
The Lipscomb men’s tennis team will take its first road trip of the season as it travels to Ohio for matches against Wright State, Xavier and Dayton over the weekend. They will take on Wright State in Dayton on Friday, Xavier in Cincinnati on Saturday and back to Dayton to face the Flyers Sunday.
The Lipscomb men’s tennis team opened its spring season Friday against the 19th-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores inside the Currey Tennis Center. The Bisons fell 0-4. Freshman Rob Mitchell took set one 6-4 in his singles match, but the match was not finished.
