The Lipscomb men’s tennis team won their first match of the spring season Friday night with a 6-1 win over Western Kentucky at Richland Country Club in Nashville.

Lipscombsports.com had a chance to visit with tennis head coach Andrew Harris this week to discuss last weekend's matches and the upcoming contests this weekend.

The Lipscomb men’s tennis team opened up their 2012 spring season on Friday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to Georgia State at the Woodruff PE Center in Atlanta.

The Lipscomb men’s tennis team closed out their fall season on a high note, posting three first-round wins for the first time at the “ITA Regional Tournament” hosted by Tennessee.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Sophomore Oliver Strecker and freshman Daniel Hernandez led the Lipscomb men’s tennis team this past weekend at the “Austin Peay Fall Tournament,” each winning their brackets, giving the Bisons two out of the three championships.

ATLANTA – Led by sophomore David Salazar, the Lipscomb men’s tennis team continued fall action posting a dozen wins in the “Georgia State Fall Tournament” in Atlanta this past weekend.
