David Carrillo from Abilene, Texas has signed a grant-in-aid to play tennis at Lipscomb University.
Carrillo was the 2003 Most Valuable Player for Cooper High School. He was a member of the all-district doubles team champion. He also was an 18 Super Champ Player, and a winner of several sportsmanship awards.
He is the son of Ray and Judee Carrillo. He plans to pursue a pre-med curriculum. One of the reasons he chose Lipscomb was the school's impressive acceptance rate for students wanting to attend medical school.
