Bisons lose 4-3 to Western Kentucky

The Bisons lost 4-3 at Western Kentucky in Bowling Green Saturday.

Lipscomb began the match winning the doubles point. Doubles winners for Lipscomb included Mario Hernandez and Daniel Hangstefer, who defeated True and Krug 8-6.

Other doubles winners were Andy Mizell and Joe McArdle, who defeated Swanson and Saine 8-6.

Two Bisons won their singles matches. Daniel Hangstefer defeated Currie Martin 6-2, 6-3. Mario Hernandez defeated Quinn Saine 6-1, 6-1.

“It was a tough match tonight,“ said Bisons coach Andrew Harris. “I give Western credit that they were the better team tonight.”

The Bisons will travel to East Tennessee State University and begin conference play on March 6. Lipscomb’s next home match is March 11 against IPFW at 4 p.m. in Nashville.

The Bisons are 4-3 overall.
