The University of the South defeated Lipscomb 5 -2 in a match played Monday in Sewanee, Tenn.

It was a closely competed match. Sewanee won the doubles point, then clinched the match by winning four of the six singles.

Lipscomb winners were:

No. 3 singles - Mike Sherman d. Jason Box 6-2,6-2

No. 4 singles - Zach Bowman d. Andrew Cone 2-6,6-0,6-4
