Bisons prevail in 4-3 match in over UT-Martin

The Lipscomb men's tennis team evened their season match record at 1-1 with a hard fought 4-3 win over UT-Martin Friday night.

The Bisons won the doubles point with wins by the teams of Colten Jones and Mike Sherman and Jeff West and Andy Mizell.

The Sky Hawks won singles matches one through t

hree, but the Bisons rebounded to win singles matches four through six, clinching the match win.

Daniel Hangstefer, Josh Cummings, and Colten Jones all won competitive matches to secure the match win for the Bisons. With the match tied 3-3, Jones' three-set thriller was the deciding point.

The match win was the 350th match win of Dr. Lynn Griffith's head coaching career. All of the victories have come at Lipscomb.

The Bisons will be in action again on Sunday morning in Johnson City playing ETSU.
