Bisons win four singles matches to edge IPFW 4-3
The Bisons played host to non-conference team IPFW on Wednesday March 11 in Nashville and came away with a 4-3 win.

“This was a hard fought match on all angles,” said Bisons coach Andrew Harris. “The guys came out flat in doubles and responded well in singles to pull out the win.”

Singles winners for the Bisons include Chad Pierron, who defeated Felipe Gama 6-3, 6-0. Daniel Hangstefer defeated Luis Maselli 7-5, 6-1.

James Murrell clinched the match for the Bisons at no. 5; defeating Ryan Vogt 7-6 (3), 6-4. Mario Hernandez defeated Diego Arteaga in no. 6; 6-0, 6-3.

“James Murrell clinched the match for us at No. 5,” said Harris. “James really stepped up in a clutch situation and this should give him confidence going into this weekend against Jacksonville and North Florida.”

The Bisons will play host to conference team Jacksonville on Friday, March 13. The match will be played at the Richland Racquet Club at 7:30 p.m.
