Men's tennis wins four singles matches

ATHENS, Ga. -The Lipscomb men’s tennis team was in action for day two of the Southern Intercollegiate Championships Saturday. The Bisons found some success in singles play, winning four matches.

Alejandro Manzanares faced Collin MacNamara of Stetson and won it in a third set tie breaker 1-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10).

Philippe Courteau defeated Zandrix Acob of Florida Atlantic 7-6(2), 6-4.

Thais Minet shut out Ryan McMullan of Clemson 6-0, 6-0.

John Tougher fell to Max Borcuti of Liberty 6-1, 6-2.

George Wong defeated Jordan Mark of Mercer 7-5, 6-3.

In doubles action, Elijah Melendez and Daniel Yun of Georgia Tech defeated Manzanares and Minet 8-2.

The Bisons will be back in action Sunday with play starting at 7 a.m.
