Men's Tennis heads to Knoxville for ITA Regionals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Lipscomb’s men’s tennis team heads east to Knoxville this weekend for the ITA Regionals.

The five-day event will run Thursday through Monday with play being held at the Goodfriend Tennis Center, the Knoxville Racquet Club and the Barksdale Tennis Stadium.

Juniors Victor Chaw, Pablo Caffarena and Jorge Ortegon, as well as sophomore Pedro Uribe will represent Lipscomb in the 128-player singles and 64-team doubles tournament.

The Bisons are one of 21 teams competing in the regional and they will be joined by Austin Peay, Ball State, Belmont, Butler, Dayton, ETSU, IUPUI, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Northern Kentucky, Purdue, Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, UT Chattanooga, Vanderbilt, Wright State and Xavier.

Matches will begin each day at 9 a.m. and the singles and doubles champions will advance to the ITA National Fall Championships (Nov. 7-11) in Surprise, Arizona.
