It was a history-making run for the Lipscomb track and field team. Freshman Madi Talbert became the first LU athlete to compete at the NCAA Championships in the national finals on Thursday evening in Eugene, Ore.
Freshman Madi Talbert is poised to make history for the Lipscomb track and field team. Talbert will become the first athlete from Lipscomb to compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday in Eugene, Ore. The race is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
Between sessions of the 25th anniversary year of The Cooperstown Symposium on Baseball & American Culture last week at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y., Lipscombsports.com was able to spend some time with former Lipscomb track and cross country athlete Willie Steele.
Bill Taylor, Lipscomb’s director of cross country and track and field, has announced the hiring of current graduate assistant Marcus Evans as an assistant coach for the track and field programs. Evans will be in charge of sprints and hurdles.
