With the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships two weeks away, the Lipscomb track and field squad looks to tune-up before the Championships with a pair of meets over the weekend.
It was another successful weekend for the Lipscomb track and field squad as they kicked off February with a top-notch performance at the Don DeNoon Invite at Southern Illinois University.
With only two meets left on the schedule until the Atlantic Sun Indoor Championships in late February, the Lipscomb track and field squad will be headed to the Don DeNoon Invite at Southern Illinois University for a weekend competition.
Lipscomb’s Juan Gonzalez collected his first career Atlantic Sun Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honor after a successful weekend in the Vanderbilt Invitational.
The track and field squad sent a handful of performers to two meets over the weekend, the Vanderbilt Invite and the Camel City Invite, with both meets housing successful Bison performances.
For the first time this season, the Lipscomb track and field squad will be splitting up. The Bisons will be sending athletes to the Vanderbilt Invite in Nashville and the Camel City Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The Lipscomb track and field squad completed another fruitful trip down to Birmingham, Alabama for the Emory Crossplex Invitational on Sunday. It was the third consecutive year the Bisons have participated in the meet, and each time the team has come home with top-notch results.
