Lipscomb track and field had a successful weekend after accruing several first place victories and breaking a number of school records at the Raleigh Relays and the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite.

Lipscomb cross county and track and field is proud to announce they will be hosing their first ever running camp this summer. From July 6-10, the Bisons will be hosting the "Running with the Herd" XC and Distance Camp.

The Bison herd will be heading in two different directions this weekend as Lipscomb track and field sends its student-athletes to two separate meets: the Raleigh Relays and the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite.

For the second consecutive week, Lipscomb sophomore Wayne Newman has earned the Atlantic Sun Track Athlete of the Week. At the Alabama Relays over the weekend Newman blazed through the 110m high hurdles with a time of 14.27, breaking his own school record.

In one of the first outdoor meets of the season, the Lipscomb track and field squad put together a solid performance over the weekend at the Alabama Relays in Tuscaloosa. Madi Talbert stood tall among a group of great Bison performances with a win in the 3000m Steeplechase.

The Lipscomb track and field squad is headed down to Tuscaloosa for the weekend to compete in the Alabama Relays. This is the first large-scale outdoor meet for the Bisons after last weekend’s Lipscomb-Belmont Dual.

Thanks to a strong performance in the Lipscomb-Belmont Dual, Wayne Newman was awarded the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors. This is his the first time taking home the honor. In the track and field “Battle of the Boulevard” Newman finished first in all four of his events.

The Lipscomb track and field squad kicked off the outdoor season with the Lipscomb-Belmont Dual Friday afternoon. The male team outscored Belmont 76-73, while the female athletes fell to the Bruins 75-65.
