Bisons track team adds runner from Cincinnati

Lipscomb University track and cross country coach Karen Robichaud has announced the signing of Ryan Downing from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Downing, 5-foot-10, 160 pounds, ran for Oak Hills High School. He posted a personal best of 54.8 seconds in the 400-meter dash, lettering in track and field on both the junior varsity and varsity level. He was also an honor student his junior and senior years.

"I want to get the experience of going away from home for college," said Downing. "I like the Christian campus. I know people from my church who go there. And I look forward to contributing to the track team."

Downing works at two camps for children with diabetes and also counsels children with diabetes.

His parents are Linda and Michael Downing.
