Senior Ryan Chastain broke his 11th Lipscomb University men's track & field record competing in the Music City Distance Carnival at Vanderbilt Saturday niight. Chastain set a new school record in the men's mile. His time of 4:08.89 broke Andy Russell's 41-year-old previous school record of 4:10.54, set in 1969.
Lipscomb University senior cross country and track star Ryan Chastain has been named District IV First Team ESPN The Magazine/College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) All-Academic Team for Track & Field/Cross Country. District IV includes schools in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and Alabama.

Ryan Chastain broke another Lipscomb men's track record Saturday at the TSU Boston-Moon Classic, re-setting his own 1500m school record, moving it from 4:51.14 to 4:48.84, winning the race by almost eight seconds.
