Elrod has busy first day in A-Sun meet
In the first day of the Atlantic Sun Conference Track and Field Meet Burton Elrod placed in a number of categories.

Elrod, participating in the decathlon, was first in the shot put with a distance of 11.76 meters.

He was third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11:38 seconds, the long jump with a 6.37 meters attempt and the 400-meter dash with a time of 52 seconds.

Elrod was fifth in the high jump with an effort of 1.76 meters and 11th in the pole vault with a 3.92 meters attempt. In women’s field events Brittany Duerk was fifth in shot put with a 10.70 meters try.

The A-Sun championships are being held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
