Track Athletes Qualify for US Junior National Championships

Dani Walker and Tucker Peabody will travel to Eugene, Oregon this week to compete in the United States Junior National Championships at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus.

The Bisons add eighteen freshman men to the Cross Country and Track & Field teams from eleven different states for the 2011-12 school year. The class adds strength and depth to every event area for the men's team.

Track & Field Team Embarks on Mission Trip to Belize

On Tuesday, 20 current and former members of the Lipscomb track and field program embarked on a seven-day mission trip to Belize. This is the second annual track and field mission trip, but the first time to go to Belize.

Track team runs into record books at Oxy Invite

Several members of the Lipscomb men's and women's track & field program competed this past weekend. Two school records were broken and many PR's were set. Leading the way was freshman Tessa Hoefle, who broke her own school record in the 5000-meter run by nearly 30 seconds.

Four school records set at Vanderbilt Invitational

Lipscomb women broke school records for the 800-meter, 1500-meter, and 5000-meter races at the Vanderbilt Invite Friday and Saturday. On the men's side Ashton Fisher broke his own school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase.

Beals, Smith capture A-Sun outdoor Track and Field titles

The Lipscomb Track & Field teams combined to set 11 school records at the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Championships and Catherine Beals and O'Neisha Smith won the A-Sun titles in the 3000-meter steeplechase and high jump, respectively.

Peabody, Smith, and Bowers claim weekly honors

The Music City swept through the final week of Atlantic Sun Track & Field Weekly Awards before the A-Sun Outdoor Championships starting on Friday in Jacksonville. Lipscomb's trio of Tucker Peabody, Anna Bowers and O'Neisha Smith all claimed their first weekly awards.

The Bisons and Lady Bisons Track and Field teams competed at the 9th Annual Boston-Moon Classic on Saturday, April 9, at Tennessee State's Edward S. Temple Track Complex. Five school records were set at the meet.

Track and field teams post solid marks at APSU meet

Lipscomb took the first four places in the women's 5000 meters with Shelby Marvel winning in 18:34. A small number of track and field athletes competed in the Austin Peay Governors Invitational in Clarksville, Tenn., Saturday.

Peabody breaks 35--year-old school record in 200 meters

At the Shamrock Invite in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Tucker Peabody broke one of the oldest Lipscomb track & field records. His 200-meter time of 21.53 broke Robert Smith's 35-year old school record of 21.54, set in 1976, one of nine school records broken.

More school records fall at Birmingham-Southern meet

Six more Lipscomb school records were set in the second outdoor meet of the 2011 season this weekend at the Birmingham-Southern Invite.

Walker leads the way again in track meet at UNF

The Lipscomb University men's and women's track teams had their best indoor meet at the Indiana University Hoosier Hills Invite in Bloomington, Ind., setting four school records. The meet served as a tune-up for the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships and as a last chance qualifier.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released their men's track and field team awards Monday afternoon. The Bisons had the second highest cumulative GPA in the nation at 3.39. Yale led the nation with a 3.42 GPA.
