NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb’s Colin Dempster was named Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week by the Atlantic Sun, announced by the office Wednesday.
A junior sprinter for the Bisons, Dempster claimed the award after his performance at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite posting a time of 48.08 in the 400 meters.
The time earned him first place in the event and has been recognized as the fastest time in the A-Sun.
He also captured a time of 21.84 in the 200-meter dash, which currently ranks second in the A-Sun.
Dempster is ranked 31st in the NCAA East Region and 54th in the nation.
