Prude notches third career A-Sun outdoor weekly honor

MACON, Ga. – For the third time in his Bison career, Gemikal Prude has been named the Atlantic Sun Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.

The redshirt-junior earned the honor after his performance at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite over the weekend.

At the meet, Prude jumped 2.10m to win the high jump. The mark currently ranks first in the A-Sun and seventh in the East Region for the event. He also ranks 28th in the nation.

The Florida native took home an A-Sun Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor earlier this season, and was named all-conference for his outdoor feats last season.

Lipscomb Track and Field will be back in action this weekend for a pair of events: the Big Blue Classic and the Stanford Invite & San Francisco State Distance Carnival.
