Track & Field to take on Mt. Sac Relays, APSU Invite

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb track and field is headed for another split weekend as the Bisons take on the Mt. Sac Relays and the Austin Peay Invitational.

Recent Atlantic Sun Outdoor Track Athletes of the Week Madi Talbert, Sally Larson and Wayne Newman will be competing at the Mt. Sac Relays, as will A-Sun Indoor Track Athletes of the Week Barbara Lee Ball and Christian Freeman.

Talbert, Ball, and Paige Stoner will all be running in the 5-K, while Larson takes on the 10-K.

Freeman is competing in the 3-K Steeplechase, and Newman will run in the 110m hurdles.

Several world records have been broken during the nationally-renown Mt. Sac Relays, the site of which has been home to three U.S. Olympic Trials.

The rest of the Bisons are hitting the track at the Austin Peay Invite.

Look for recent A-Sun Outdoor Athletes of the Week Gemikal Prude and Karly Hibbard to pace the field events.

The quartet of Alex Berry, Kenny Smith, Danny Marsh and Newman will be looking to build upon their season-best 4x400m relay set last weekend.
