Webber earns first A-Sun T&F weekly award

MACON, Ga. – Grayson Webber has won his first career Atlantic Sun Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week award after a strong performance in the Tennessee Challenge on Saturday.

The freshman competed in three events at the Challenge. He finished ninth in the discus with a personal record throw of 49.66m. The throw ranks him first in the A-Sun by over six meters.

Webber posted marks of 11.87m in the shot put and 36.65m in the hammer throw.

The Colorado native ranks in the top six in the A-Sun in all three events, one of only two players to do so. He currently ranks third in the shot put and sixth in the hammer throw.

The Bisons will be back in action this weekend as they take on the Georgia Invite in their final tune-up before the A-Sun Outdoor Championships.
