Track and field headed to Joey Haines Invite

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb track and field squad will be competing at the Joey Haines Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on the Southeast Missouri State campus over the weekend.

After being split up between two meets last weekend, the Bisons will be together for this weekend’s meet.

“We’re trying to keep improving through the season each week,” Lipscomb Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Bill Taylor said.

“We train through the indoor season to get to the outdoor season, and then the outdoor season gets here, and it actually goes really quick. The weeks are going by, and people do need to step up if they want to get their times to qualify for conference and for other big meets.”

The events will start Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. and will continue on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m.
