NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb track and field squad will be travelling to Louisville, Ky. for the weekend to participate in the Bellarmine Invitational.
17 different schools are expected to take part in the events, with over 500 student-athletes expected to compete.
“We’re really excited about this upcoming weekend,” assistant track and field coach Benton Reed said. “It gives our athletes another chance to compete.”
The Invite will begin on Friday afternoon with the field events as well as some track races. The meet will continue through Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
“Belmont should be there, as well as some other good Division I schools, so it’s another chance to get some events in now that we’re about halfway through the season,” Reed said. “It’ll give us a chance to get a little bit better.”
