Track and field takes on trio of meets over weekend

NASHVILLE – It will be a busy weekend for the Lipscomb track and field squad as the Bisons plan on splitting up between three meets over the coming days: the Mt. SAC Relays, the Austin Peay Invite, and the Bison Outdoor Classic.

Several of the top Lipscomb distance runners will be headed to the nationally-renown Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California. The action will kick off on Thursday and continue all day in Friday and Saturday.

The Austin Peay Invite will feature the shortest trip for the Bisons as they will stay in-state for the meet, which begins on Friday and will continue on through Saturday.

The Bison Outdoor Classic will be hosted by the similarly-nicknamed Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The meet will begin on Friday and finish up on Saturday.
The Purple and Gold are looking to build on the success of last weekend’s performance at the Crimson Tide Invite, which saw the Bisons nab several top five finishes and a win by junior Kacey Kemper in the 3000m Steeplechase.
