Track and field comes back from break to take on Kentucky Relays

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb track and field squad is back in action after a break for exams and the Bisons are headed to the Kentucky Relays. The meet will be the Purple and Gold’s final outing before the ASUN Outdoor Championships.

The events will begin on Saturday at 8 a.m. and continue on throughout the day before concluding that afternoon.

Along with the hosts, Kentucky, the competition will include Cincinnati, Marshall, and Xavier among others.

Lipscomb will also be sending three athletes to compete in the Ole Miss Classic: junior Jacob Poyner, sophomore Ryan Speer, and freshman Nathan Morgan.

The Bisons are looking to hit the ground running after a break in the schedule for finals. They are planning to build on a pair of successful performances at the Virginia Challenge and the Georgia Tech Invite during their last outings, which included senior Wayne Newman winning the 110m high hurdles in Virginia.
