LakePoint, Ga. – For the second time this season, Lipscomb freshman Jonathan Schwind has been named the ASUN Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the leagues offices on Wednesday.
Schwind had a after a record-setting weekend across town at Vanderbilt’s Music City Challenge.
The Georgia native he broke the school indoor record in the mile with a time of 4:09.97, goof enough to win his heat and finish 11th overall.
He now sits in third place in the ASUN in the event.
This win is the second ASUN weekly honor of the season for the freshman. He earned his first earlier this season after winning the 800m at the Samford Open.
Schwind and the Bisons will head to Virginia this weekend to take on the ASUN Championships on Friday and Saturday.
