Track and field start off 2019 with crosstown Commodore Invite

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb track and field squad will kick off the 2019 season on Friday as the Bisons head across town to compete in the Commodore Invite hosted by Vanderbilt.

The meet is set to begin on Friday at 4 p.m. with day two of the meet beginning on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Among the other schools at the meet will be SEC programs Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, and Kentucky, Battle of the Boulevard rival Belmont, and fellow local schools Tennessee State, Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, and Middle Tennessee,.

Lipscomb will be sending a full slate of student-athletes, including nine Indoor All-Conference performers from last season and a number of freshmen making their debuts in the Purple and Gold.

Set to make their Bison track and field debut are: Hanna Anderson, Alex Tirado, Donovan Ross, Taylor Edmundson, Sam Kuhn, Josh Hinkle, Benjamin Underwood, Ryan Bush, Jacob Sanzone, Demontae Wilson, Ayse Allison, Madison Allie, Adan Rodriguez, and Jared Touart.
