ATLANTA, Ga. – After a stellar performance in the opening meet of the season, Lipscomb’s Jonathan Imes has been named the ASUN Indoor Track Performer of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Wednesday.
Imes earned his first ASUN weekly honor by coming out of the gates strong for the 2019 season.
The sophomore competed in the 400m at the Commodore Invite hosted by Vanderbilt, where he finished seventh with a program indoor and personal record time of 47.65 seconds.
His time currently ranks first in the ASUN by nearly a full second (0.82 seconds) and places him at 32nd in the nation for the event.
Imes and the rest of the Bisons will be back in action this weekend as they head to Virginia for the Liberty Kickoff.
