Tirado named ASUN Indoor Track Freshman of the Week

ATLANTA – Lipscomb track and field’s Alex Tirado has been named the ASUN Indoor Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Wednesday.

Tirado earned the honor, the first of his career, winning the 200m dash at the Don DeNoon Invite in Carbondale, Illinois.

Tirado placed first with a time of 22.21 seconds, which currently ranks 10th in the ASUN and second among all freshmen in the conference.

The Laredo, Texas native also competed in the 60m at the DeNoon Invite, posting a time of 7.18 seconds to place 16th. He also currently ranks 16th in the ASUN for the 60m.

Tirado and the rest of the Bisons will be back this weekend with a pair of meets: the Samford Invite and the Music City Invite.
