Track splits for trio of meets over weekend

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb track and field squad is hitting the road for a trio of meets this weekend as the Bisons stampede to the Raleigh Relays, the Florida Relays, and the Joey Haines Invitational.

 

RALEIGH RELAYS (Hosted by N.C. STATE)

When:

Friday starting at 8 a.m.

Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m.

JOEY HAINES INVITE (Hosted by SEMO)

When: 

Friday starting at 3:30 p.m.

Saturday starting at 11 a.m. 

 

Several of the Bisons top distance runners will be headed to Raleigh, the top sprinters will be going to Florida, and the rest of the squad will be headed to SEMO. Lipscomb is set to face a tough slate of competition at all three meets.  

 

LAST TIME OUT: 

Lipscomb started out the outdoor season strong at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invite. Junior Jonathan Schwind was named the ASUN Track Athlete of the Week for his efforts after winning with the 800m in 1:49.86. The time currently stands as the fastest in the ASUN, third fastest in the East Region, and sixth fastest in the nation.
