2011: Had eight top-five finishes in the high jump during his sophomore campaign... Started the indoor season with back-to-back fourth-place finishes at the Ed Temple Invite (Jan. 8, 1.88m) and the Tennessee State Invitational (Jan. 29, season-best 1.98m)... Earned bronze via third-place finish at the A-Sun Indoor Championships with a 1.94m high jump... Just missed medaling at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships, finishing fourth (1.90m).

2010: Earned two high jump victories in his first season at Lipscomb... Won the Austin Peay Spring Fling (Mar. 20) with a 1.98m mark... Followed that up with a season-best 2.00m leap at the Governors Invitational (Apr. 3) to win that event... Was fifth in the A-Sun Indoor Championships (1.89m) and fourth in the Outdoor Championships (1.93m) as a freshman.

Prep: Competed for Eric Graves at Terre Haute South Vigo High School... State high jump qualifier as a junior... Member of basketball team that reached as high as third in the state of Indiana... Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Eric and Nola Austin... One brother (Evan)... Plans to major in business management... Chose Lipscomb because of the Christian setting.
