Lipscomb's Lady Bisons soccer team scored a first half goal and held on in double overtime for a 1-1 tie Wednesday at Jackson State University.
This was the first overtime game for the Lady Bisons since tying Mercer 0-0 at :Lipscomb Oct. 24, 2003.
Melissa Chambers scored the goal, her first of the season, and second of the year for the Lady Bisons at the 40:12 mark. The Lady Bisons recorded a season high 10 shots on goal.
Lipscomb goalkeeper Bethany Copeland stopped 11 shots, also a season high.
Aisha Horn scored the tying goal for Jackson State at 69:30 of the second half.
