Lipscomb's Lady Bisons made the short trip south to Florence; Ala., to face the University of North Alabama Friday night and came away with a 3-1 loss.
The lone goal for the Lady Bisons was by freshman Sarah Brummett who scored her first collegiate goal off of a corner kick from Sara Green, who has six assists in her last two games.
Both teams battled to a scoreless tie in the first half. Brummett's goal broke the deadlock at the 54:37 mark of the second half.
North Alabama answered with three goals. Alison Woodman scored at 58:36 unassisted to tie the game and at 75:50 on a penalty kick to put North Alabama ahead to stay.
Allison Post rounded out the scoring for North Alabama at 80:52 with an unassisted goal.
Lipscomb goalkeeper Katie Shelton made seven saves.
North Alabama, an NCAA Division II program, was 2-0-1 heading into the game with the Lady Bisons. Ranked No, 10 in the South Regiona, they had allowed just one goal in 270 minutes of play.
The Lady Bisons are 1-4, all on the road. They play their first home game of the season at 2 p.m. Sunday with Valparaiso visits.
