Final Stats

The Lady Bisons should adopt the "never on Sunday" approach to scheduling next season.

Sunday afternoon at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex the Lady Bisons fell 4-0 to Florida Gulf Coast in an Atlantic Sun Conference game. It was the fourth time the Lady Bisons have been shut out on a Sunday and their fifth loss on a Sunday.

Florida Gulf Coast struck for three goals in the first half and added another in the second.

The Lady Bisons managed only two shots on goal with freshman forward Halie Proffitt and junior defender Leisli Lopez each getting one. The Lady Bisons were credited with four shots, two by Lopez.

Lady Bisons goaltender Katie Shelton added to her conference-leading saves total with eight. Florida Gulf Coast made 12 shots on goal, with a game-leading six by Lindsay Haw who also scored two goals. Florida Gulf Coast had 25 shots overall.

Kelly Sherriff and Kelli Haemmelmann also scored for Florida Gulf Coast.

Florida Gulf Coast goalkeepers Kirsi Keenan and Jen Delater combined for the shutout. Keenan made both saves for Florida Gulf Coast. Delater played the final 4:31.

The Lady Bisons are 3-11-1, 1-5-1 in the A-Sun. Florida Gulf Coast is 9-5-0, 5-2 in the conference.
