Nashville, TN - The Lady Bison softball team defeated defending OVC Champion Tennessee Tech 4-3 in nine innings at the Tech Softball Field in Cookeville Tuesday afternoon.

The score was tied 3-3 at the end of the seventh inning and the Lady Bisons scored one run in the top of the ninth inning off a Golden Eagle error to win the game.

Sophomore Alaina Jacobson pitched three innings of relief to earn the win.

Game two of the doubleheader will start around 7:15 p.m.
