The Blue Raider Bash wasn’t much of a party for the Lipscomb Lady Bisons volleyball team.
Saturday afternoon at Alumni Memorial Gym in Murfreesboro they closed out the tournament with a 3-0 loss to Florida International, unbeaten this season in six matches and considered to be one of the up-and-coming teams in the country.
The Lady Bisons, 1-6, lost set one 25-18, set two 25-13 and set three 25-20.
Sophomore middle blocker Alex Kelly led the Lady Bisons with seven kills.
Senior libero Sarah Snider was the team leader in digs with nine.
Yarima Rosa made a match-high 20 kills for Florida International Isadora Rangel added 11,
Mariana Drumeva made a match-high 13 digs for Florida International. Natalia Valentine added 10 kills.
The Lady Bisons play their first Atlantic Sun game of the season Tuesday night at Allen Arena against rival Belmont University. The match is a rematch of last season’s semifinal game in the Atlantic Sun Tournament which was won 3-2 by the Lady Bisons.
