KENNESAW, GA. – After six games on five different days of the week in a two week period, the Lipscomb University Bisons were ready to conclude their road schedule Sunday afternoon in Kennesaw, Ga.

The Bisons defeated Kennesaw State 61-44 with the support of 37 points off the bench in a sloppy game.

Lipscomb was up 27-14 at the intermission.

Burgason, who was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and finished with 13 points, drained a three with 12:48 left to put the Bisons up 38-22.  Michael Lusk added a layup to give Lipscomb an 18-point lead, their largest of the game, with 11:14 on the clock.

Kennesaw State whittled Lipscomb’s lead down to 12 with 5:16 remaining.  Kurtis Woods scored 10 of his team high 13 points in the second half as the Owls tried to close the gap.

The Bisons used a 6-0 run over a minute to go back up 18 with 3:47 left.

Adnan Hodzic and Brandon Brown each posted double-doubles for Lipscomb.  Hodzic finished with a game-high 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Brown posted 12 points and 10 boards.

Lipscomb held a 54-33 rebounding advantage.

Lipscomb finished shooting 21-of-48 (43.8 percent) from the field and 5-of-13 (38.5 percent) from the 3-point line.
