Rain, storms force one-day delay in start of A-Sun Tournament

DELAND, Fla. - Due to rain, lightning and thunder the first day of the Atlantic Sun Baseball Championship at Melching Field at Conrad Park has been delayed.

The opening game between top-seed Jacksonville and No.6-seed ETSU will be played at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The game between No. 2-seed Lipscomb and No. 5-seed Mercer, will be played at 2 p.m.

The game between No. 3-seed Stetson and No.4-seed Belmont will be played 6 p.m.

The tournament could be extended until Sunday. It might also be switched from a double-elimination to a single-elimination tournament.
