Monday, February 01, 2010Take a spin and help the people of Haiti.
The Lipscomb men's and women's tennis programs are having a fund-raiser this Thursday from 7-10 p.m. in the Spinning Studio on the campus of Lipscomb University to raise support for Haiti's residents as they continue to recover from a devastating earthquake.
Former Bisons tennis coach Lynn Griffith has spent much time of service in Haiti over the past eight years. He spent this past week in Haiti as an ambassador for Healing Hands International.
This past summer Lynn and Dianne Griffith adopted a young boy from Haiti named Samuel.
Two years ago members of the Bisons tennis team took a trip to Haiti to host various tennis clinics.
The cost is a minimum donation of $10 for a 30-minute ride.
“Spinning for Haiti” will consist of six different 30-minute rides on Thursday night.
