As the Dayton Invitational came to a close, the Lady Bisons pulled out a strong win over Robert Morris University Saturday beating them easily 7-0.
Making a bold statement with their doubles play, the Lady Bisons swept the doubles point without dropping a single game.
Elizabeth Keevil and Mackenzie Bishop crushed Clarissa Chen and Samantha Alves 8-0 at No. 1 while Kara Jackson and Danielle Hansen breezed by their opponents Tiffany Meinert and Ekaterina Rudneva 8-0 at No. 2.
At No. 3, Julianne McMeen and Carlina Jow waxed Sara Meier and Emily Himmel 8-0.
After dominating doubles, the Lady Bisons headed into singles with a 1-0 lead, but Lipscomb’s dominance did not end there. As they entered into singles play, the Lady Bisons put together a string of strong wins.
Bishop defeated Chen 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1.
At No. 2, Keevil beat Alves 6-2, 6-1, giving the Lady Bisons a 3-0 lead.
Hansen gained an easy win at No. 3, defeating Meinert 6-0, 6-2 and clinching the match for Lipscomb.
With the match already in the bag 4-0, the bottom half of the line up only added to the dominant score.
At No. 4, Jackson pummeled Rudneva in a quick 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Jow added another easy win, beating Meier 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5.
In the No. 6 spot, McMeen obliterated Himmel 6-0, 6-0.
The Lady Bisons came out on top with an impressive 7-0 win, sweeping opponent Robert Morris University.
The Lady Bisons play again on Thursday Feb. 25 against University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
