The Lipscomb University Bisons open their 2010-11 home schedule Monday evening against Stillman College, a NCAA Division II institution from Tuscaloosa, Ala. The game is set to tip at 7:02 p.m. central time.
The Bisons are led by Atlantic Sun Conference preseason player of the year Adnan Hodzic and preseason all-conference guard Josh Slater. Hodzic is the leading returning scorer in the nation at 22.7 points per game. Slater averaged 17.2 points and 5.3 assists per game last year.
Friday night Lipscomb opened its season at the North Carolina Tar Heels falling 80-66 to the 8th-ranked team in the nation. Slater scored 21 points and brought down nine rebounds, both team highs. Hodzic had 14 points and eight rebounds. Freshman point guard Robert Boyd made a splash in his first game scoring 13 points and connecting on three-of-four attempts from beyond the arc.
Stillman College lost to Talladega College in an exhibition on Nov. 3. They were led by LaJay Sears, a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association preseason first team all-conference selection, who scored 25 points and had 12 rebounds. Rakee Anderson scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Big man Kevin Johnson scored eight points and had ten rebounds and five blocks in 24 minutes of action. Stillman was picked to finish fifth in the SIAC.

- Hodzic has scored in double figures in 58 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the nation.
- Lipscomb shot 34.9 percent from the field against North Carolina. This was Lipscomb’s second worst shooting performance in the Bisons’ last 57 games.
- Hodzic both attempted and made his first 3-pointer of his career against UNC. His first career attempt came at 15:51 in the first and his first career make was at 9:56 in the first half.
