Stan Van Gundy – Former Orlando Magic and Miami Heat head coach

“He is the kind of coach that every parent would like their son to play for. Casey is a great fit for Lipscomb. He has been around success and knows what it takes to win games. He is one of the finest teachers of the game that I have been privileged to watch. He sets high standards for himself and his players and is very demanding yet remains calm in all situations. His players will not only succeed and become better players, he will be the role model that they need to achieve great things in their lives after basketball.”

Shannon Terry – CEO of 24/7 Sports and Former Bison basketball player ('88-92)

“Lipscomb has made a fantastic choice in hiring Casey Alexander. I watch coaches and programs all over the country and any list of up-and-coming coaches has him on it. He will be a tremendous coach and leader not only on the Lipscomb campus but in the community as a whole. Congratulations to Lipscomb on a great hire.”

Brad Stevens – Butler head coach

“I'm excited about the new hire of Casey Alexander as the new coach at Lipscomb. I have spoken with a few former players I've played with through the years and we feel he will bring a much needed excitement and edge back to our program. I’ve gotten to know Casey on and off the court and he’s a phenomenal addition to the family. I’ve also had the privilege to coach his son and I look forward to seeing him and the rest of the family in Purple and Gold”

Rick Byrd – Belmont head coach

“Casey played and coached for me and I can say that he is as competitive as any player I’ve ever coached. He is a great leader. He was born to coach and is an outstanding teacher of the game. I’m thrilled for him and I am confident he will be a great addition to the Lipscomb program.”

Richard Taylor – Lipscomb men’s basketball alum (’83-87) and member of 1986 National Championship team

“I am excited to see what he will do. He can teach, coach and recruit and that’s a formula for success.”
