NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb baseball team looks to shake off its recent struggles and perhaps get some payback Tuesday when the Bisons make the trek up Granny White Pike for a mid-week tilt at Belmont for Part II of baseball’s version of the “Battle of the Boulevard”.

The game is set to throw the first pitch at 5 p.m. at E. S. Rose Park.

The Bisons and Bruins met last Tuesday on Lipscomb’s campus, where Belmont took a 2-1 decision while holding the Bisons to just four hits.

Tuesday’s non-conference tilt will see Lipscomb redshirt freshman Dalton Curtis draw his first career start on the bump. Curtis has seen action in 13 games. The righty will face Belmont junior Chase Cunningham. Cunningham drew the start in the last matchup and got the win.

The Bruins enter the contest at 17-22 on the season.

The Bisons (24-17, 12-6) will return to league play this weekend for a three-game set at Ken Dugan Field when Northern Kentucky invades Music City.

Probable Starters:

Lipscomb – Dalton Curtis – FR – RHP – (0-2, 2.20 ERA, 16.1 IP, 15 K, 11 BB)
Belmont – Chase Cunningham – JR – RHP – (2-4, 4.83 ERA, 41.0 IP, 31 K, 11 BB)
