Wednesday, August 31, 2005 Aug. 1, 2005 Chuck Ross, Lipscomb's No.1 sports fan, had a night in the spotlight August 1 at Greer Stadium as the Nashville Sounds Triple-A baseball team held "Chuck Ross' Night.
Money raised from the event will help to defray Chuck's living expenses. The evening produced $6,300 for ticket sales and $1,200 in additional donations at the stadium. Contributors who were unable to attend the game sent in $6,500 in donations for a total of $14,000 for the event.
Chuck is a unique Christian man who resides at Lakeshore Wedgewood. Over the past years, resources which paid for Chuck's care have been depleted. A group of friends, with help of the Nashville Sounds, are planning a special evening to assist Chuck. 100% of proceeds generated by ticket sales will go toward Chuck's care if you simply mention his name when purchasing tickets.
Additional contributions for his care will be accepted at the Sounds game or by direct mail (write Chuck Ross on the "for" line). You can also send donations directly to: The Lakeshore Foundation 8044 Coley David Road Nashville, TN 37221 Any questions, call Renee Gibbs at 383-3842. |
