Lipscomb's men's tennis team won its first Atlantic Sun match of the season, edging Gardner-Webb 4-3 in a match that was delayed one day by rain in Boiling Springs, N.C.
The Bisons won the doubles point on Tuesday before the rains came in. Andrew Harris and Zach Bowman won the No. 1 doubles match for the Bosons. Jon Houston and Mike Sherman won the No. 3 match to take the doubles point for the Bosons.
In singles games Sherman won at No3, Bowman won at No. 4 and David Carrillo won at No. 6.
Due to having to play Gardner-Webb a day late, the Bisons match with North Carolina-Asheville which was scheduled for Wednesday was cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.
