Lipscomb's Lady Bisons will prepare for their drive for the 2005-2006 Atlantic Sun Conference basketball championship with a pair of games against Atlantic Coast Conference teams.
The Lady Bisons, directed by Coach Frank Bennett, are on the road Dec. 19 in Winston-Salem, N.C., against Wake Forest. On Dec. 30 they travel to Tallahassee, Fla., for a meeting with Florida State.
Rounding out the pre-conference road schedule are a trip to Ohio to play Kent State Nov. 18, the official opening game of the season, and the Ball State Tournament in Muncie, Ind., The tournament field also includes Georgetown and North Dakota State.
The Lady Bisons start the season with a pair of exhibition games at Allen Arena. On Nov. 7 they play Alabama-Huntsville followed by a Nov. 12th game with Spalding.
Memphis visits Allen Arena Nov. 29 to mark the official home opener. Savannah State visits Jan. 9 for the last non-conference game of the season.
Conference play begins on the road in early December with a visit to Kennesaw State Dec. 1 and a trip to Johnson City to face East Tennessee State on Dec. 3.
The rivalry with Belmont heats up again with the Lady Bisons making the short trip down the boulevard on Jan. 17. The Bruins visit Allen Arena Feb. 28.
A-Sun home games at Allen Arena include Campbell (Jan. 5), Gardner-Webb (Jan. 7), North Florida (Jan. 26), Jacksonville (Jan. 28), Stetson (Feb. 2), Mercer (Feb. 4), East Tennessee State (Feb. 16), Kennesaw State (Feb. 18) and the regular season finale against Florida Atlantic March 2.
The remaining conference games on the road are Mercer (Jan. 12), Stetson (Jan. 14), Florida Atlantic (Jan. 21), Gardner-Webb (Feb. 9), Campbell (Feb. 11), Jacksonville (Feb. 23) and North Florida (Feb. 25).
