Florida was no vacation paradise for the Lady Bisons soccer team. Friday afternoon they fell 7-0 to the University of North Florida, one of the newest members of the Atlantic Sun Conference, in Jacksonville at UNF Soccer Stadium.
The win extends UNF's winning streak to three games. They also have a four-game conference winning streak.
UNF made a season-high 28 shots, including 15 shots on goal. The Lady Bisons only shot in the game was made by Jessica Jordan. UNF recorded double-digit shots in both periods,
The Lady Ospreys received a little help from the Bisons in the 77th minute of play when a ball played by Lipscomb was deflected off another Bison and past goalkeeper Bethany Copeland to give UNF a 6-0 lead. Copeland made eight saves.
UNF is 6-5-1, 4-2-0 in the A-Sun. The Lady Bisons are 0-13-1, 0-6-0 in the conference.
