Head Coach Andy Lane was proud of his team today.
"I was so happy for our team. They continue to play very good and we are hitting the ball well and having a lot of quality at bats. These are the kind of days that are fun and are good for our team as we try to get better each time out. We have a lot of our older players that are feeding off of the excitement of our younger players and they are all pushing themselves to get better each game. I can't say enough about this group and the team attitude they have displayed. Our bench has been into the game and doing the little things to help those on the field be successful. The attitude has been supportive of each other and a real desire to win games. Obviously we are proud of the way we have swung the bats lately, Coach Dillingham has worked hard with our players both from a mechanical standpoint and mental standpoint. When you look at Danielle and Allison's performance the thing that stands out is that they did not have any walks on the day, that is awesome. Our defense made a lot of great plays to have a solid day in the field. It was great to see Jennifer have a great day. She hit two more big homeruns for us and continues to be a leader both on and off the field. We have to keep working hard each day to try and improve and grow as a team as we get ready to begin conference play,"Lane said.
The Lady Bisons will next play on Tuesday, March 15 when they host Western Kentucky at Crockett Park in Brentwood.
