Lipscomb's Lady Bisons dropped a pair of Atlantic Sun softball games Thursday afternoon at Draper Diamond.
The Lady Bisons fell 5-1 to Kennesaw State in game one and 5-0 in game two.
In game one Kennesaw State scored a pair of runs in the third inning on a home run by Cambria McKay and added three more in the top of the seventh on a solo home run by Kelley Cowart and a two-run home run from Keri McKee.
The Lady Bisons scored their only run in the sixth inning. Leigh Little singled to lead off the inning. Niki Bails moved Little to second on a sacrifice bunt that was fielded by the catcher. After Julia Davidson popped up to the shortstop. Jessica Wilson singled left field to score Little.
Sara Meek pitched a complete game for the Lady Bisons. She allowed 10 hits and five runs, all earned. She struck out seven and walked one.
The Lady Bisons had five hits in the game, all singles.
In game two the Lady Bisons were unable to score on three hits. Little, hitting from the leadoff spot, had two of the hits, both singles. Kate Richards had the third one.
Kennesaw State scored one run in the first inning and added four more in the sixth.
Kim Jacobson pitched a complete game for the Lady Bisons, allowing eight hits. Only one of the five runs scored was earned. She walked two batters and struck out two.
The Lady Bisons are 13-31 overall, 3-11 in the A-Sun. Kennesaw State, in its first season in A-Sun competition, is 35-16, 14-4 in the conference.
The Lady Bisons travel to Belmont Wednesday for a 2 p.m. A-Sun doubleheader.
