Lipscomb women's tennis team opened the season Friday against Belmont University.

Belmont swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches.

In singles competition:

Erin Moakler lost to Linda Johnsson (6-4, 6-3)

Emily Ellis lost to Elizabeth Conyer (6-1, 6-3)

Samantha Duggan lost to Shivani Obesoi (6-4, 6-4)

Caitlin Khouri lost to April Bradley (6-3, 6-2)

Jamie Aid lost to Katie Rhodes (6-2, 6-1)

Mary Beth Muncher lost to Burgandy Moss (6-4, 6-1)

In doubles matches:

Ellis-Moakler lost to Bradley-Rhodes (9-7)

Duggan-Muncher lost to Conyer-Johnson (8-2)

Aid-Khouri lost to Moss-Obesoi (8-5)
