Lipscomb's Lady Bisons volleyball team's first meeting with the Ospreys of North Florida wasn't very sunny.
The Lady Bisons lost the match 3-0 Friday night by scores of 30-22, 30-22 and 30-23. The Lady Bisons had been tied with North Florida for fourth place in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
In game one the Lady Bisons made four straight errors to give North Florida the boost it needed to win the game.
In game two the Lady Bisons took the early lead, and were in control at 14-11. With the score tied at 21-21 North Florida scored nine of the last 10 points in the match.
Game three was controlled by North Florida.
Ann Mullins was a bright spot for the Lady Bisons with a match-high 21 digs. Alex Scruugs finished with a match-high 12 kills and a .391 hitting percentage. Catherine Johnson added seven kills and a .700 hitting percentage.
Jennifer King led North Florida with 10 kills. Megan Wood had a .450 hitting percentage and Emily Kohler posted a .421 hitting a percentage.
North Florida recorded a .321 hitting percentage, a season-high. The Lady Bisons finished with a .119 hitting percentage.
The Lady Bisons are 12-17, 5-3 in the conference. North Florida is 15-9, 6-2 in the A-Sun. The Lady Bisons play their last A-Sun game of the regular season Saturday at 6:30 at Jacksonville.
